Root command execution via server-side template injection
Published Jul 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Server-side template injection in Cisco Secure Email Gateway allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands as root. The web management interface fails to neutralize template syntax in crafted HTTP request data before server-side evaluation.
