Authenticated browser script execution via unvalidated input
Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2025
Stored XSS in Cisco Secure Email and Web Manager allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another interface user's browser. The AsyncOS web management interface insufficiently validates user input, allowing attacker-supplied content to persist and run in the interface context. A crafted link and user interaction are required; exploitation exposes sensitive browser-based information or permits actions in that context.
