Arbitrary actions via insufficient CSRF request validation
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in affected Cisco Identity Services Engine releases allows remote attackers to act as a targeted user. The web management interface accepts state-changing requests without sufficient CSRF validation, allowing a crafted link to reuse the targeted user's authenticated session. Exploitation requires the targeted user to follow the link while authenticated, and the resulting changes are limited by that user's privileges.
