Stored script execution via unvalidated interface fields
Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated Oct 24, 2024
Stored XSS in Cisco Firepower Management Center allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted management fields. The web interface accepts and stores crafted values in various data fields without sufficient validation, then renders them as executable script. Exploitation requires high-privilege FMC access and a separate user to view the poisoned interface; the script runs in that user's browser context and can access browser-based information.
