Unauthenticated script execution via web input validation failure
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Cross-site scripting in all releases of Cisco Small Business RV Series Router Firmware allows remote attackers to execute scripts via crafted pages. The web-based management interface insufficiently validates attacker-controlled page input before returning it to a user's browser; Cisco has not disclosed the affected page or parameter. Exploitation requires persuading an interface user to visit the prepared page, enabling script execution in that interface or access to sensitive browser-based information.
