Sensitive-data disclosure via upload path traversal
Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Path traversal in Cisco AppDynamics Controller before 23.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data via crafted uploads. The file-upload handler insufficiently validates user-supplied path input, allowing crafted requests to traverse outside the intended upload location. A valid Controller account and network access to the upload interface are required; the reported consequence is sensitive-data disclosure only.
