CVE-2024-20344Network attack vector

Device Console UI crash via TCP flood

Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Denial of service in Cisco UCS 6400 and 6500 Fabric Interconnects in IMM allows remote attackers to crash the Device Console UI. The system resource manager fails to rate-limit TCP connections, so a high volume of TCP packets exhausts and terminates the UI process. The UI must be network-reachable on an IMM-managed interconnect; complete recovery requires a manual fabric-interconnect reload.
