Traffic loss via malformed Ethernet frame handling

Improper input validation in Cisco IOS XR Software allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt traffic by resetting a network processor. Layer 2 Ethernet services incorrectly handle specific Ethernet frames passed through an affected device, resetting the ingress interface network processor. The device must run an affected IOS XR 64-bit release with an affected Layer 2 transport configuration; repeated processor resets reset the line card.
