Service disruption via Ethernet frame misclassification

Denial of service in Cisco IOS XR Software allows attackers to disrupt control plane protocol relationships with crafted Ethernet frames. The affected NCS platforms incorrectly place specific Layer 2 Ethernet frames into the TC7 virtual output queue, where sustained traffic drops priority packets. Exploitation requires Layer 2 Ethernet services and sustained frames sent to or through an affected interface; dropped keepalives or hello packets break routing relationships.
