Command injection in the UTD configuration CLI in Cisco IOS XE Software allows local users with level 15 privileges to execute commands as root. The CLI accepts a crafted configuration command without sufficient input validation, allowing attacker-controlled command content to reach the underlying host. Exposure requires an affected release on a device that supports the utd engine standard unified-policy command.
