Command injection in Cisco IMC on affected Cisco UCS servers allows local users with read-only access to execute commands as root. The IMC CLI insufficiently validates user-supplied text in a crafted CLI command before passing it to the underlying operating system. Read-only or higher IMC privileges and local CLI access are required, and successful exploitation grants root privileges on the controller.
