Unauthenticated ACL bypass via failed rule activation

ACL enforcement bypass in Cisco ASA and FTD Software allows remote attackers to reach trusted networks by sending traffic denied by an ACL. With object-group search enabled, activating a qualifying ACL silently leaves its rule inactive instead of applying the configuration change. Exposure requires a network-object group without a network-service object group and an inactive-to-active transition; IPv4 and IPv6 rules are affected.
