Arbitrary file upload in Cisco Unity Connection 12.5 and earlier and 14 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. A web-management API omits authentication and inadequately validates uploaded user-controlled files, allowing malicious files to reach the system. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful exploitation stores files and executes arbitrary operating-system commands with root privileges.
