Authenticated code execution via unsafe sitename handling
Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Code injection in ZhiCms 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute injected code through the sitename setting. The index function in app/manage/controller/setcontroller.php incorporates attacker-controlled sitename data into generated code without neutralizing executable syntax; the published record does not identify the final sink. Low-privileged authentication is required, and successful exploitation can read or alter application-accessible data or interrupt the service.
