Adjacent code execution via WLAN firmware out-of-bounds write
Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek WLAN STA firmware allows physically proximate attackers to execute code through crafted wireless input. The firmware inadequately validates untrusted WLAN input and writes data beyond the intended buffer, corrupting memory in the station subsystem. No authentication, privileges, or user interaction is required; exploitation requires wireless proximity and results in code execution within the WLAN firmware context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
