Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek V5 DA on Android 12.0 through 15.0 allows physically proximate attackers to escalate privileges. The download agent omits a bounds check, permitting attacker-influenced data to be written outside the intended buffer. Exploitation requires physical access and user interaction but no prior execution privileges, and successful abuse grants elevated local control.
