Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek mms on Android 12.0 through 15.0 allows local users with System privileges to escalate privileges. The mms component applies an incorrect bounds check, creating a write-what-where condition that writes beyond the intended memory boundary. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges, needs no user interaction, and can raise local privileges on affected chipsets.
