CVE-2024-20101Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via WLAN buffer overwrite

Published Oct 7, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024

Out-of-bounds write in the MediaTek WLAN driver on Android 13.0 through 15.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The driver improperly validates untrusted wireless input before writing beyond a buffer, but MediaTek has not disclosed the affected function or input field. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction and grants code execution in the WLAN driver's context.
