Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek chipset power components on Android 12.0, Android 15.0, and Yocto 4.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. The power component writes beyond a buffer because it fails to check a boundary; MediaTek has not disclosed the affected function or input path.
