Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek dmc on Android 13.0 and 14.0 allows local users with System privileges to escalate privileges. The dmc component writes beyond a buffer because it omits a bounds check, but MediaTek has not disclosed the affected operation or input path. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges and no user interaction; the resulting higher privilege level is undisclosed.
