CVE-2024-20069Network attack vector

Remote information disclosure via IKE downgrade

Published Jun 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Algorithm downgrade in MediaTek Modem NR15 allows remote attackers to disclose information through VoWiFi IKE negotiation. The modem accepts a less-secure Diffie-Hellman choice because the VoWiFi IKE path omits the required downgrade check. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction, but the public record does not identify the exposed information.
