System crash via uncaught flashc exception

Improper exception handling in MediaTek flashc releases allows local users with System privileges to crash affected devices. The flashc component fails to catch an exception, allowing it to propagate until the system crashes; MediaTek has not disclosed the triggering input or narrower code locus. Affected software comprises Android 12.0, 13.0, and 14.0; OpenWrt 19.07 and 21.02; Yocto 3.3; and RDK-B 22Q3, with no user interaction required.
