Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek flashc on affected chipsets allows local users with System privileges to elevate privileges. The flashc component fails to validate input before performing a write, allowing data to be written outside the intended memory bounds. Exploitation requires prior System execution privileges and no user interaction; MediaTek discloses no finer input path or write target.
