Unauthenticated post disclosure via metadata excerpts
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information disclosure in Graphene for WordPress 2.9.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read password-protected post excerpts. The rich-snippet and Open Graph metadata generator places protected-post excerpts in page source without checking whether a password is required. No authentication or user interaction is needed; the exposure is limited to post content included in those metadata fields.
