Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped table prefix
Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
SQL injection in the staging component of WPvivid Backup & Migration 0.9.68 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data. The wpvividstg_start_staging_progress_free path incorporates the table_prefix parameter into CREATE TABLE identifiers without sufficient escaping or query preparation. No authentication is required; crafted input appends SQL to existing queries and exposes sensitive database records.
