Download tampering via nonce-free edit requests
Published Mar 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in CreativeMinds CM Download Manager before 2.9.1 allows remote attackers to alter existing downloads. The editHeader handler accepts posted download identifiers, titles, descriptions, categories, and package fields without validating a WordPress nonce. An administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML while authenticated; its auto-submitted form rewrites the selected download metadata.
