CVE-2024-1951Network attack vector

PHP object injection via shortcode deserialization

Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

PHP object injection in wpWax Logo Showcase Ultimate 1.3.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects via a shortcode. The shortcode handler passes attacker-controlled serialized input to PHP deserialization instead of rejecting or safely parsing it. Contributor-level access is required, and file deletion, sensitive-data retrieval, or code execution requires a usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.
