Authenticated database disclosure via membershipTypeId SQL injection
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in CodeAstro Membership Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through crafted requests. The get_membership_amount.php endpoint accepts membershipTypeId as part of a MySQL expression without neutralizing SQL syntax; the published updatexml payload evaluates a database subquery and returns its result in an error. A valid PHP session for the administrator-only interface is required, and the demonstrated consequence is database information disclosure.
