Stored XSS via unescaped form settings
Published Apr 29, 2024 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Stored XSS in RedNao Smart Forms before 2.6.96 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The form editor stores unsanitized CSS and post-submit alert values and renders them without output escaping when a form is viewed. Administrator-level form access is required, even where unfiltered_html is disabled, and the injected script runs in each viewing user's browser context.
