Unauthorized organization changes via stale session tokens
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Authorization bypass in Lunary before 1.2.8 allows remote attackers to change an organization's name using a stale session token. The orgs.patch route accepts a previously issued authorization token and updates the organization without rechecking that its subject remains a member. Exploitation requires a token retained from prior membership and permits organization-name modification after that membership is revoked.
