PHP object injection via shortcode deserialization
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in A WP Life Photo Gallery for Images 1.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects via a shortcode. The handler in shortcode.php deserializes attacker-controlled data from the awl_lg_settings_ attribute without validating the serialized object. Contributor access is required; the plugin has no POP chain, so file deletion, data retrieval, or code execution also requires a suitable chain in another installed plugin or theme.
