Authenticated object injection via post-meta deserialization
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in Weblizar Lightbox slider – Responsive Lightbox Gallery 1.9.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects. The shortcode handler in simple-lightbox-slider-shortcode.php deserializes attacker-controlled post meta without validating the serialized object. Contributor access is required; file deletion, sensitive-data retrieval, or code execution also requires a usable POP chain supplied by another installed plugin or theme.
