Subscriber-level list creation via missing capability check
Published Mar 8, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in affiliate-toolkit 3.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create unauthorized product lists. The atkp_create_list() handler accepts list-creation requests without checking the caller's WordPress capability before creating the list. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized modification of site product-list data.
