Code execution via malformed CAD file parsing
Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Sep 2, 2024
Memory corruption in Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS Desktop 2024 SP0 through 2024 SP1 allows attackers to execute code via crafted CAD files. The affected file-reading procedure is also cataloged in 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS 2024 through SP1 and exhibits multiple memory-safety failures; the responsible parsers and faulty operations are undisclosed. Exploitation requires a user to open an attacker-supplied file and grants code execution in the SOLIDWORKS process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
