Stored XSS via unescaped tabs_color shortcode value
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Darko Responsive Tabs before 4.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the tabs_color shortcode value. The plugin stores this value without adequate validation and inserts it into page output without escaping, turning an event-handler payload into executable markup. Contributor-level access is required to create the tab set, and the script executes when a user previews or visits the affected page.
