Unauthenticated login bypass via username SQL injection
Published Feb 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
SQL injection in the admin login form of SourceCodester Complete File Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication. The /admin/ login handler incorporates the username parameter into its authentication query without neutralizing SQL metacharacters, so a tautology and comment sequence changes the query logic. No credentials or user interaction are required; a successful request grants access past the administrative login, while further database effects are not established.
