Authentication bypass via injectable login username
Published Feb 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in the users/index.php login form of SourceCodester Complete File Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass login. The handler incorporates the username value into its authentication query without neutralizing SQL quotes and operators, so a crafted always-true condition changes the query's logic. The login form is remotely reachable without authentication; the published demonstration establishes application login bypass, but no broader database consequence is demonstrated.
