CVE-2024-1800Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via ObjectReader deserialization

Published Mar 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Insecure deserialization in Progress Telerik Report Server before 10.0.24.130 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The ObjectReader class fails to validate user-supplied data before deserializing it, allowing attacker-controlled objects to trigger code execution. Authentication is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the Report Server service context, which can be SYSTEM on affected installations.
