Protected-course disclosure via unchecked XML export
Published Jul 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Themeum Tutor LMS Migration Tool 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to export protected course data over HTTP. The tutor_lp_export_xml handler processes an export request without checking a WordPress capability, then serializes courses into downloadable XML, including private and password-protected content. Access requires no account or user interaction, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of course content rather than modification or service interruption.
