Stored XSS via unescaped API key
Published Mar 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Contests by Rewards Fuel 2.0.64 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an API-key value. The update_rewards_fuel_api_key value is accepted without sufficient input sanitization and later emitted without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the payload executes when a user opens a page containing the stored value.
