CVE-2024-1748Network attack vector

Code execution via untrusted cloudpickle model load

Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Unsafe deserialization in AutoPrognosis 0.1.21 allows remote attackers to execute code by supplying a crafted model file. The load_model_from_file helper passes the file directly to cloudpickle.load without validating its origin or restricting reconstructed objects. Exploitation requires the application or a user to load an attacker-controlled model file, after which payload code runs with the host process's privileges.
