Administrator script execution via unescaped customer metadata
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Vanquish WooCommerce Customers Manager before 30.2 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in an administrator's browser. The wccm_update_user_meta AJAX action accepts subscriber-supplied metadata keys and values without authorization, CSRF protection, or output escaping. Subscriber access is sufficient to store the payload, but an administrator must view the affected customer's metadata to trigger execution.
