Prompt template manipulation via stale authorization tokens
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Lunary before 1.2.8 allows remote authenticated users to read, create, modify, and delete prompt templates. The backend authMiddleware trusts the user and organization identifiers in a previously issued JWT without confirming that the account still exists. A former organization member who retained a token can therefore disclose or alter sensitive template data after access is revoked.
