Timing attack in Gradio before 4.19.2 allows remote attackers to recover passwords for protected apps through repeated login requests. The routes.py login function compares the submitted password directly with app.auth[username], allowing Python to return sooner at the first mismatched character. Exploitation requires a password-protected app, a known username, and enough unauthenticated requests to distinguish response times, exposing protected app access.
