Sandbox escape in Canonical snapd before 2.62 allows local users to run scripts outside snap confinement through a malicious snap. The homeConnectedPlugAppArmor policy blocks writes beneath $HOME/bin but fails to block creation of $HOME/bin itself as a symlink to a snap-controlled directory. Exploitation requires AppArmor enforcement, a snap using the automatically connected home interface, installation by the victim, and later execution of a planted PATH command.
