CVE-2024-1719Network attack vector

Stripe settings modification via missing nonce validation

Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

CSRF in Scott Paterson payment plugins through 1.8.3 and 2.1 allows remote attackers to alter Stripe settings via a forged request. The wpecpp_stripe_connect_completion function accepts a state-changing completion request without valid WordPress nonce verification and updates plugin settings, including the Stripe connection. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to submit the forged request, such as by clicking an attacker-controlled link; the resulting change can redirect the site's Stripe integration.
