Subscriber-level admin-bar changes via unchecked settings handler
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Pixar Labs Admin Bar Editor 1.0.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to change admin-bar visibility. The update_form() handler processes plugin settings without checking whether the requesting account has the capability required to manage them. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is an unauthorized change to whether the front-end admin bar appears.
