Stored XSS via unsanitized Reference field
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in GARO Wallbox GLB+ 0.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in an operator's browser through the Reference field. The Software Update Handler accepts an unauthenticated JSON Reference value, stores it, and renders it in /serialweb/index.jsp#settings without neutralizing script markup. Execution requires an operator to revisit the device portal, where the injected script runs with that browser session's portal access.
