Authenticated file overwrite and deletion via path traversal
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in CRMEB 5.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite or delete server files through the admin CRUD API. The save/delete handler at /adminapi/system/crud accepts attacker-controlled path values without confining file operations to an intended directory. Low-privileged access to the administrative interface is required, and successful exploitation can corrupt application data or interrupt service.
