Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode size attribute
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Darko Grid Shortcodes before 1.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted shortcode attributes. The GDC_column handler inserts the size attribute into page markup without validation or output escaping, so a quote can terminate the attribute and add an event handler. Contributor-level access is required to save the shortcode, and script executes when another user views the resulting post or page.
